Message from the President
Mr. Peter Fore, RN
President, Papua New Guinea Oncology Nurses Association (PaNGONA)
On behalf of the Executive Committee and members of the Papua New Guinea Oncology Nurses Association (PaNGONA), I extend my warmest welcome to you.
Our association was founded with a clear purpose — to unite, empower, and strengthen oncology nurses across Papua New Guinea through education, collaboration, research, and leadership. Cancer care is complex and challenging, but together we are building a strong professional community that supports each other and strives to improve outcomes for every patient and family affected by cancer.
Since our establishment, PaNGONA has continued to grow in membership and influence. We are proud to be part of the global oncology nursing network through our collaborations with organizations such as the International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care (ISNCC), Cancer Nurses Society of Australia (CNSA), and other regional partners.
I encourage every nurse, student, and allied health professional with an interest in cancer care to join our journey. Together, we can raise the standard of oncology nursing, promote evidence-based practice, and make a lasting difference in the fight against cancer in Papua New Guinea.
Thank you for visiting our website and for your continued support of PaNGONA.
In unity, collaboration, and growth —
Peter Fore, RN
President
Papua New Guinea Oncology Nurses Association (PaNGONA)
